MS-Publisher Restaurant Menu Assignment (DUE TODAY!!!)

Develop a two-sided, tri-fold design menu for an existing or possible restaurant of your choosing
Review the MS-Publisher Menu projects for ideas
Your menu should include the following:

  • A front cover design (include a graphic on each side of the outside front cover)
  • Restaurant name on front cover
  • At least 5 categories such as Appetizers, Soups & Salads, Entrees, Desserts, etc. (with description)
  • At least 3 items for each category (with description)
  • Category headings
  • At least 5 images (pictures) for key menu items
  • Short, appetizing, and descriptive category headings
  • Short, appetizing, and descriptive menu item descriptions
  • Menu item prices
  • Map (use Mapquest.com, Yahoo maps, etc. to generate a map)
  • Restaurant "owner", address and phone number
  • A variety desktop publishing features such as Text boxes, Smart Art, WordArt, ClipArt, Page Borders, etc.

Once completed, print a 2-sided copy, and email (WPA_Wiz@yahoo.com) MS-Publisher menu as an attachment

MS Publisher 2007 - "Teacher Appreciation Week" Card

  • This week is "Teacher Appreciation Week"
    1. Use MS Publisher to design and print a personalized greeting card for a favorite former or current HS teacher.
    2. Use the Greeting Cards Publication Types
    3. Choose the Design template of your choice.
    4. Customize your card. 
    5. Use your own graphics, images, and Clip Art.
    6. Choose your images/Clip Art wisely.
    7. Pick images/Clip Art suitable to your teacher and/or their teaching subject.
    8. Add or change text.
    9. Include "Happy Teacher Appreciation Week" on the front outside of your card.
    10. Include your teacher's name on the inside, left-side of card.
    11. Include the current date in the upper right-hand corner of the inside of your card.
    12. Come up with a personal message on the inside, right-side of card.
    13. Explain how this teacher has impacted you, your education, etc.
    14. Include text, graphics, or both on the back of your card (remember, less is more).
    15. Include borders if and where appropriate.
    16. You do NOT have to include "WPA" or the class period on your card!!!
    17. Print two copies of your card, and fold them. 
    18. Unfold ONE card, and turn it in for grading - do NOT staple to warm-up lesson printouts.
    19. Make your teacher's day, and hand-deliver the other card today!!!
