CATEMA - Tech Prep of the RGV
(Exam Grade)

• Students with an exiting CATEMA username will log-on, and register for the Principles of Business, Marketing, and Finance class

Once registered, you will print a copy of your registration.

• Press PrtScn on your keyboard
• Open a new MS-Word document
• Change the orientation to LANDSCAPE
• Save the file to your "My Documents" folder, and name file CATEMA
• Add a COMPLETE Header (Student Name, Date, Class Period, Filename/Path)
• Paste the PrintScreen
• Print the MS-Word document

          Remaining 50% of the Six-Week Exam Grade will be the actual presentation to the class.
          Class will evaluate (grade) each presentation using the rubric below.
          Each evaluation will count as a DAILY GRADE.
          Presentaitons will be made using PC #27, and the order of the presenations will be the order saved to PC.

Know Your Neighbor (PowerPoint Assignment)
          Several students printed their PowerPoint "Know Your Neighbor" Assignment exactly as REQUIRED.
          But, too many did not print ANYTHING at all, and a couple did NOT follow printing directions.
          Re-read the assignment instructions, make all the corrections necessary and REQUIRED of the assignment.
          Print a FINAL copy (Handout 3-slides per page in Black & White - NO COLOR)
          FINAL printout is due at the end of class!!!
          This printout is worth up to 50% of your Six-Weeks Exam grade.
          The remaining points will be earned when you present your PowerPoint in class.
          Animation extra-credit will be awarded as a result of the class presentation.

NOTE:  Once you have finalized the PowerPoint:

1. Save your PowerPoint file to your "My Documents" folder.
2. Print your PowerPoint as a Handout (3 slides per page in Black & White), and turn it in.
3. I will need this printout for the first 50 possible points possible Six-Week Exam grade.
4. Log-on to my computer (PC #27).
5. Open your "My Documents" folder, and DRAG your PowerPoint to the Desktop.
6. Make sure the substitute records your name on her list.
7. On Thursday, you will present your PowerPoint to the class.  I will use the LIST to determine the order of the presentations.
8. Only the PowerPoint presentations presented to the class on Thursday will be graded.
9. Those that do not get to present will NOT earn the remaining 50% of the TOTAL Six-Week Exam grade.

Current Grades (Student Portal)
The student portal is accessed via the Weslaco ISD website.  The student portal may be accessed using Internet Explorer, but in class we will be using Mozilla Firefox to view Internet pages.  Locate and use Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer.  Access the student portal through the Weslaco ISD District website below:

Use the student portal information to identify which class assignments have not been submitted for grading.  If you find any grade discrepancies in your Principles of Business grades, take advantage of the opportunity in class to talk with the instructor.  Be prepared to provide documentation (actual graded work).  Use the remaining class time to finish and submit any and all missing ungraded work.  Be sure to staple your work in chronological order (oldest paper on top and most recent on the bottom).
